9th April - Sun Sports 0 AFC Dunstable 3

It will silly Saturday in the SSML Premier Division as in the end results went AFC's way. With London Colney odds on favourites to beat 2nd from bottom Harefield United, the Hares came away with a 3-1 win. Hoddesdon Town, who had just won the Premier Division Cup midweek, came within a whisker of defeat, when Tring Athletic missed a last minute penalty, but still dropped 2 points in the 1-1 draw. On the other hand, AFC took full advantage with a controlled performance in Watford against Sun Sports.

One change was made by the OD's from Wednesday, as once again Terry Griffiths and Bill Morgan swapped places. Sun who were involved in an 8 goal thriller on Thursday night, would they still be in the mood to keep banging the goals in. In the end they only tested AFC's Ricky Perks the once who was up to the challenge.

The visitors took the lead as BJ Christie clinically finished on 18 minutes. AFC continued to keep the ball for long occasions and went searching for the 2nd. It came 11 minutes later when Josh Humbert set up Jermaine Hall who slotted the ball home.

Half Time: Sun Sports 0 AFC Dunstable 2

The 2nd half was a mirror image of the 1st, as Sun found it hard to get the ball off of the OD's players and into the bargain a good few shots reigned on the home goal. The only way that Sun might have get at the visitors goal, would be if they let their concentration slip. This happened on 68 minutes when Perks had to be quick off this line to deny them.

It was looking like AFC would have to be happy with a 2-0 win. With young Jake Kissiedu introduced on the 90th minute. He made an instant impact, as he slipped by 3 Sun defenders and his run set up Christie for his 46th goal of the season.

Steve Heath was happy with the 3 points saying " I thought we controlled the game well today. I was slightly concerned when we took our foot off the gas after our 2nd, but apart from that 15 minutes we were pretty much on top"
