Ricky Perks retires

The club's 1st team goalkeeper Ricky Perks (34), has decided to call it a day on his football career and has retired with immediate effect.

Ricky joined the club in October 2014 from Colney Heath and as if fate dealt a hand, made his debut for AFC against his former club in a 1-1 draw in the SSMFL Premier Division on November 8th.

He made 90 appearances for the club and was a massive part of the 1st team SSMFL Premier Division title win last season, as he kept over 20 clean sheets.

He said "It has been a pleasure to be part of such a fantastic club, with such great people. The club have provided me with some of my proudest and happiest moments in football"

We hope he keeps in touch with the club and will always be welcome at Creasey Park to take in a game.
