Our President passes away

It is with great sadness, that the club has to report the passing of our President Keith McClurgh.

Keith 82, who had been President since 2013, sadly passed away at home from heart failure. He had been an active committee member since 2005. He started to struggle with his ageing knees and hips, so stood down from our committee in 2012.

As the club never had a President in the past, Keith was asked if he would liked to take on the role. He did not hesitate in accepting the position. We know as a club he was extremely proud to be President and took great pleasure in seeing our 1st team win the Spartan South Midlands Premier Division title.

Even though this sad news is devastating for the club, he was so proud to be the first President to see his club compete in the Evo-Stik Southern League last season.

Keith passed away last Thursday 29th June, but we have only released the sad news out of respect of his loving family.

Our thoughts go out to his wife Margaret and all his family.
